Jeff Clarke, president and CEO of Inflector Environmental Services, and Sarah Grand, a sales representative with real estate brokerage Engel & Völkers Ottawa Centre, are taking on the roles of co-chairs of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation’s 20th annual President’s Breakfast, scheduled to return to a virtual format this Tuesday, Sept. 14. They’re totally pumped about it, too. Supporters of The Ottawa Hospital have been bubbling with excitement these days over plans to build a state-of-the-art new Civic campus arguably the most significant new development for our city. The $2.8-billion project is scheduled to be completed in 2028. ....

The building at 295 Jarvis Street, known as the Inglewood Arms, was in the spotlight last year when a condo development threatened to displace about 100 low-income people. The building is now a rooming house, but it was once the Inglewood Arms Hotel and home to a number of Toronto historical figures. ....
Minto Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust is providing more than $50 million in financing for a subsidiary of Minto Properties to develop a multi-residential property in New Edinburgh. The REIT says it will contribute up to $51.4 million to the project, which will see its sister firm construct a nine-storey building with about 230 rental suites at a one-acre site on Beechwood Avenue. Minto Apartment REIT said the units are expected to range from studio apartments to two-bedroom suites, adding the development will also include about 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Under the deal, the REIT will loan Minto Properties the money to build the project at an annual interest rate of six per cent. Once the property is ready for occupancy – expected to be in the fourth quarter of 2024 – the REIT will have the option to purchase the development at a five per cent discount on its appraised fair market value. ....
