BLACKFOOT A local man has pleaded guilty to killing a man inside a Blackfoot bar last year.
Eddy Carrio Stone, 27, pleaded guilty to felony involuntary manslaughter on Tuesday. Authorities said Stone killed 41-year-old Frank Haddon in a bar fight but additional information has not been released and an affidavit of probable cause has not yet been made public.
As part of the plea agreement made with Bingham County Prosecutors, the charge was amended from felony voluntary manslaughter and a felony persistent violator enhancement was dropped. Stone has a lengthy criminal history, including felony drug charges, burglary and a 2013 rape conviction. ....

BLACKFOOT A Blackfoot man will spend up to two decades in prison after being convicted on multiple child pornography charges.
Tyler Liddle, 33, was sentenced Monday to between six and 20 years in prison by District Judge Darren B. Simpson. Liddle previously pleaded guilty to a felony charge of distributing child pornography and a felony charge of possessing child pornography. As part of a plea agreement, three additional felony possession of child pornography charges were dismissed.
Liddle was arrested in July after investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Tasks Force uncovered child pornography. Investigators say they uncovered thousands of images of prepubescent girls between the ages of nine and 14 in Liddle’s possession. ....

BLACKFOOT A parolee is going back to prison, this time for sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy.
Antonio Tolentino Jr., 29, was sentenced Monday to between 12 and 30 years in prison by District Judge Darren Simpson. As part of a plea agreement, Tolentino pleaded guilty to felony lewd conduct with a child under 16 in exchange for prosecutors dropping a persistent violator enhancement.
Bingham County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney David Cousin explained in a news release that the persistent violator enhancement is Idaho’s three-strike rule. People with at least two prior felony convictions can have their sentences increased by between five years to life as a result of the enhancement. ....

SHELLEY The former principal of Shelley High School pleaded guilty to felony grand theft Tuesday afternoon.
With the guilty plea, Eric T. Lords, 49, admits that while working as the principal he used school funds to make over $3,700 in personal purchases.
“I used a school’s credit card for personal use,” Lords said during the Zoom hearing.
Lords became principal at Shelley High School in 2016 and suddenly resigned from the position in 2018 following an audit, which found the school has mismanaged some funds. The investigation into Lords personal thefts became public in 2019. ....
