May 12, 2021 Beach Volleyball has Four AVCA All-Americans TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State beach volleyball’s Alaina Chacon, Molly McBain, Keara Rutz and Torrey Van Winden were named AVCA Second-Team All-Americans on Wednesday. Alaina Chacon and Molly McBain played 29 matches together during the 2021 season, finishing with a 19-10 record and as the fourth winningest pair on the Seminoles this season. Their 19 wins together gave them 32 wins as a pair of the last two years, good for the eighth-most wins as a pair in program history. Chacon and McBain earned 17 wins on court one and two wins on court two. Together, Molly and Alaina earned 11 wins against ranked team, including wins over No. 8 LMU, No. 6 Cal Poly, No. 10 TCU and No. 1 USC on court one.

They have pushed us every day and set a standard for our program that has helped create our culture. We have so many hard workers that we are proud to have worn our jersey.”

Florida State Beach Volleyball Wins its Fifth straight CCSA Title HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The third-ranked Florida State beach volleyball team (32-4) earned its fifth straight CCSA Title on Sunday afternoon with its second win over LSU (25-7) in two days, 3-2. “I am super proud of our team,” said head coach Brooke Niles. “We knew LSU was going to come out strong and play use really tough. To come out like that and take every punch that was thrown at us and keep fighting on every court until the last point, I am really proud of them. To win the fifth straight conference title is unbelievable. We came here with a goal of winning and competing and we did a really good job of that this weekend.”

Photo: Bret Clein April 24, 2021 - by Bret Clein Beach Advances to the CCSA Championship With a 4-1 Win Over LSU HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The third-ranked Florida State beach volleyball team (31-4) continued their winning ways at the CCSA Tournament with a 4-1 win over LSU (24-6), improving their record to 25-0 all-time at the conference tournament. It was a highly contested match across the board as three of the five courts went to three sets and only one set was won by more than five points. Florida State jumped out early to take three of the five first sets on courts two, four and five. Sara Putt and Raelyn White converted that into the only straight-set win of the afternoon for the Seminoles on court four. They took an early 6-3 lead in the first set and maintained it on their way to a 21-17 first set win. Putt and White jumped out to a 6-4 lead in the second and expanded that to an 18-11 lead before
