The Uptown Music Collective will be performing the music of Led Zeppelin on April 16 and 17 at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport.
WILLIAMSPORT The Uptown Music Collective is set to return to the Community Arts Center stage to present “Good Times Bad Times: The Music of Led Zeppelin” for three live performances on April 16 and 17.
This high-energy tribute from the area’s premier school of music will feature talented young musicians between the ages of 12 and 18. UMC students will be performing powerful versions of classic Zeppelin songs like “Kashmir,” “Whole Lotta Love,” “Stairway to Heaven,” “Rock and Roll,” “Going to California,” “Over the Hills and Far Away,” and more with all of the energy and passion that UMC students are known for. Smithfield residents vote to buy fire truck, approve all warrant articles
About 35 people turned out Saturday night for the annual Town Meeting, approving all 65 articles, and 63 people voted in elections earlier in the day.

SMITHFIELD Voters in Smithfield sailed through a 65-article warrant Saturday night at the annual Town Meeting, approving all articles, including a request to borrow up to $300,000 to buy a used fire truck.
About 35 people turned out for the meeting at the fire station, which concluded at about 8:15 p.m., according to Town Clerk Meredyth Tuttle.
They passed an approximately $1 million budget that was about the same as last year’s spending plan, Tuttle said. ....

It could be a busy day Saturday as Smithfield residents are scheduled vote for municipal officers and on budget warrants in a staggered approach to the annual Town Meeting.
The 2021 Proposed Municipal Appropriations is $878,318. School & County proposed appropriations are $1,395,316.
Voting for municipal officers will occur via secret ballot from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the municipal complex. Residents will vote on warrant articles in a normal Town Meeting format beginning at 7 p.m. at the fire department in the back of the municipal complex. ....

The Uptown Music Collective will bring this year’s People’s Choice performance, The Long Run: Music of the Eagles, to the stage of the Community Arts Center at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 12 and 13.
According to a news release, this socially distant performance will have limited in-person tickets available for both nights, as well as tickets for a multi-camera, “up close and personal” live stream of the Saturday night performance, all of which are now on sale at the Community Arts Center box office. ....
