Sosa died in a prison hospital in Malir Jail, Karachi, Pakistan, on March 26, 2021, but there is no guarantee when his family in Nanavada, near Kodinar in Gujarat, will be able to conduct his last rites. ....
29 Bangladeshis return home from Pak prisons Diplomatic Correspondent 23rd December, 2020 11:05:32 Twenty-nine Bangladeshi nationals, who were released from Malir and Karachi jails in Sindh province of Pakistan, returned home on Wednesday night, said the Foreign Ministry. Another eight Bangladeshi nationals, released from Malir Jail, will return to the country today with financial assistance from the Foreign Ministry. These eight expatriates were legal workers on a fishing boat in Oman. In May 2019, while they were fishing in the Arabian Sea adjacent to Oman, Pakistani Coast Guard held them as their fishing boat plunged into Pakistani waters due to strong current. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen directly supervised the matter and gave the government approval for travel expenses including airfare considering their financial status to bring them back to the country as soon as possible. ....
