ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar on Thursday set up high-level committee to liaise with political parties regarding the establishment of a parliamentary committee for electoral reform, Dunya News reported.
The Prime Minister had written a letter to the Speaker to set up a parliamentary committee for electoral reforms. Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has formed a committee to hold talks with the opposition parties.
The five-member committee will hold talks with opposition parties regarding electoral reforms. The committee includes Pervez Khattak, Fawad Chaudhry, Asad Umar, Babar Awan and Malik Amir Dogar. ....

Asad-QaiserNational Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Thursday announced setting up a high-level parliamentary committee for seeking support from the opposition parties on electoral reforms, a private TV channel reported. The speaker took to Twitter to announce establishing a parliamentary committee, which would comprise federal ministers
Pervez Khattak, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Asad Umar, Babar Awan, and MNA Malik Aamir Dogar.
The committee would reach out to the opposition and other parliamentary groups to develop a consensus on the matter. “We will later establish a multi-party parliamentary committee after all parties agree over it,” Asad Qaiser said, adding that the body would work on electoral reforms and bringing an end to corrupt practices in the election process. ....

The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sped up the process of introducing electoral reforms in the country, as President Arif Alvi asked the stakeholders on Thursday to prepare a prototype of the electronic voting machines (EVMs) for the lawmakers.

KARACHI: The group led by Ashfaq Hussain Shah is willing to negotiate with the Pakistan Football Federation Normalisation Committee in order to overturn the suspension the global football governing body FIFA has imposed on Pakistan.
