Addressing the executive committee meeting of Biju Chatra Janata Dal (BCJD), the students’ wing of the ruling party, on Wednesday, Naveen said, “Misinformation will destroy a society if people are not alert.” “As you know, this is the age of digital and social media. Social media is very influential and its impact is being felt on every sphere of life. But, nowadays, social media channels are flooded with misinformation. Many a times, the information that comes on the social media and even on the mainstream media is not true. Thus, you have to fight against such misinformation,” Naveen added. ....
Odisha CM exhorts youth to maintain social harmony 23 Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik exhorted the students to fight misinformation campaign on social and mainstream media to derail social harmony. Addressing the youths and students at the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) Executive Body meeting at State BJD Party Office here on Wednesday, Patnaik said the students must fight against misinformation. “Misinformation is the greatest enemy to social harmony,” he added. The Chief Minister advised the youth to emphasize on three important matters. First, you should do hard work for complete utilization of your inherent potential.
