The Henry S. Kolakowski Jr. Memorial Scholarship 2020 Scholarship Winners

The Kolakowski family is proud to award the 29th Annual Henry S.Â Kolakowski Jr. Memorial Scholarships. Ten scholarships of $1,000.00 have beenÂ awarded. The total of this yearâs scholarship awards was $10,000 and this brings the 29 year distribution total to two hundred thirty scholarships paying outÂ $265,650.
This scholarship was established in October of 1991 and is given in the memory of Henry S. Kolakowski Jr. Henry Kolakowski served as an educator, administrator, counselor andÂ student advocate in the communities of Meriden and Wallingford for 34Â years.
He took personal pride in assisting as many students as he could, usually giving 110Â percent to his job. Mr. Kolakowski started his educational career locally in 1957 where heÂ worked as a history teacher at Meriden High School, which later became Platt High inÂ 1958.
