In Salem, Moody’s Home & Gifts helps artists stay afloat

As the pandemic batters the economy, artists have been hit especially hard. A Salem gift shop run by twin sisters is helping: Supporting local and global artists by showcasing and selling their work.
“Without street vending days, North Shore artists didn’t have a lot of opportunities, so we brought a lot of different things inside our store,” said co-owner Jess Moody. “They’re designing hand-made items exclusively for us.”
Local artist Stephanie Voyer pivoted from her costume design work to creating masks when the pandemic hit. She sells her work at Moody’s. ....
