Hayley Hasselhoff bounds through the doors of Soho House in West Hollywood, California, with the sort of confidence you’d expect of someone who has been in the public eye for most of her life and, at the age of 28, has just posed nude for German Playboy.
The daughter of Baywatch star David ‘The Hoff’ Hasselhoff, Hayley is the first plus-size model to grace the cover of the European edition of the men’s magazine. ‘It’s pretty shocking that it’s taken until 2021,’ she says. What prompted her to do it? ‘In the past I was cautious about doing a photo shoot like this, but I look at my body now and think, “I want to celebrate every moment of it”.’

Westport Island town office’s American flag is back flying for the first time in at least five years, Deputy Municipal Agent Gaye Wagner said. In Monday night’s UberConference call selectmen’s meeting and an email afterward, Wagner described a group effort to raise the flag.
“The halyard was broken, and the pole is steel and very heavy. Those previously asked about a fix said special equipment was needed to fix the pole in place,” Wagner wrote. “Westport Island resident Bill Miller was determined that the flag would fly once again and enlisted his friend Stephen Coombs from Massachusetts to make it happen. Fired Up Fundraiser a Success
The Bay School Community Arts Center, in Mathews, hosted a raku firing fundraiser on Saturday, April 10. Raku is a ceramic firing process that produces flashy, metallic-looking pottery in a short amount of time. Ready-to-glaze pots, made by members of the Clay by the Bay Ceramics Guild, were provided to participants. Ticket holders selected a pot, glazed it with assistance from volunteer potters, and then watched the pot be fired. 57 pots were glazed and fired during the event.
Martha Hayes of Summer Haze Pottery volunteered her time to fire the pots, with the assistance of Johnny Norman, Sue Henshaw, Lisa Gayle, Ann Hogge, and other members of the Clay by the Bay Ceramics Guild. In all, 22 volunteers helped make the event a success throughout the day. Almost $3,000 was raised from ticket sales and the silent auction. The proceeds support the Bay School’s artistic programming.
Boyett: A rare spring snowstorm hit Henderson County in 1996

Henderson County residents looked out their windows on the first day of spring 1996 to see a scene that looked more like the winter solstice.
It wasn’t this area’s latest snowstorm of the year. Since the National Weather Service began keeping records in Evansville in 1948 that would be the one that hit April 6, 1971. And it certainly wasn’t the hardest hitting. There are about 15 that recorded deeper accumulations of snow.
The most snow Henderson County has gotten in one day was 14 inches on Dec. 8, 1917. But the most over two days was 16 inches on Jan. 17 and 18, 1978, which was a full-scale blizzard, according to the National Weather Service.
