Vehicle struck by gunfire in Meiners Oaks Wednesday night Gunfire struck a vehicle, authorities said, but no injuries have been reported. The incident was reported shortly after 9:50 p.m. in the 1900 block of Maricopa Highway, also known as Highway 33, said Ventura County Sheriff s Capt. Marta Bugarin. The block is near the crossing with Meiners Road. The unincorporated Meiners Oaks community sits west of Ojai city limits. The sheriff s agency provides police services in Ojai and surrounding unincorporated areas. Multiple shots were fired, Bugarin said. No other suspects are outstanding and there was no danger to the public, she said. Authorities had located the vehicle that was struck. ....
