Brisbane Radio Ratings: Battle for breakfast heats up, while Nova maintains its lead
March 11, 2021 10:05
The battle for Brisbane breakfast radio has returned in the first survey of the year, with just 1.4 ratings points separating the market leader, Nova 106.9, and 97.3FM which ranked sixth in the slot.
Despite dropping 1.6 ratings points, Nova’s Ash, Kip and Luttsy with Susie O’Neill maintained their lead on an 11.4% share. A 1.1 point gain by the ABC placed it second on 11%, ahead of commercial networks 4KQ (10.8%), Triple M (10.6%), B105 (10.3%) and 97.3FM (10%).
The tighter competition this survey period was owed to 97.3FM gaining 1.8 ratings points, and B105 adding 1 point to its share. 4BC, hosted by Neil Breen, lost 1.2 points to land on a 7.8% share.
It was a big morning for radio stars and stations across the country, with various new programs going to air for the first time.
