CRISPR gene-editing expert Eric Lander, Biden’s director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, is awaiting Senate confirmation to serve in a new Cabinet-level position in the Biden administration. Jeffrey Epstein, the eugenicist pedophile and sex trafficker, bragged about funding Lander’s research and was photographed taking part in at least one meeting with him.
Shortly before he took office, President Joe Biden announced that he would be elevating the director Office of Science and Technology Policy to a cabinet-level position, meaning that his nominee to lead that office, geneticist Eric Lander, would require confirmation by the US Senate. Lander is currently serving as director of that office, but has yet to serve in cabinet-level capacity as he awaits confirmation.  ....

Joe Biden’s Cabinet pick for science adviser has been delayed by Democrat concerns of connections to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, according to reports.
The nomination of Eric Lander to director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy was reportedly paused due to questions around two meetings the geneticist had with Epstein in 2012, four years after the financier’s conviction on child prostitution.
Quoting an anonymous official familiar with the situation, Politico reported that Washington senator Maria Cantwell wanted more clarity on the extent of Mr Lander’s connections with Epstein.
While Ms Cantwell did not immediately respond to a request for comment, she told the outlet we’ll see what happens with that , regarding the hearing on Mr Lander’s nomination next week. ....

Washington Examiner s request for comment, but the senator told
Politico Lander s hearing had been set for April 29, well after some other Biden Cabinet members.
We re having a hearing on him next week, and we ll see what happens with that, she said.
Lander has spoken with Cantwell over the course of his nomination, the White House told the
Washington Examiner.
Dr. Lander briefly met Epstein in Spring 2012, at two events with multiple Harvard donors, faculty and others, and he correctly decided to have nothing to do with Epstein, an administration spokesperson said.
Lander s link to Epstein was known prior to Biden tapping him for the Office of Science and Technology Policy in what will be the first time the office s directorship has been elevated to the Cabinet. Lander has repeatedly denied an association with Epstein. ....
