Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), a swing-district Democrat who was elected in the 2018 blue wave, has a troubling connection to a diversity council in her district promoting Critical Race Theory (CRT). As the Washington Free Beacon reported on Monday, Rep. Slotkin s eyes and ears local liaison for the district, Mona Shand, is listed as a Board Member at Large for the Livingston Diversity Council. According to reporting from the Livingston Post in February 2019, when Shand was given the position: Mona Shand of Brighton has joined the staff of U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Holly) as the congresswoman’s representative (or “eyes and ears”) in Livingston County. Shand will also represent Slotkin at various community events. ....
ADP s DEI Dashboard lets you track diversity trends over time. ADP ADP says the tool will help companies see the makeup of their employees and identify whether any diverse groups are underrepresented. The software also lets companies benchmark themselves against similar organizations using what ADP says is one the largest available sets of real workforce data. Jack Berkowitz, ADP s senior vice president of product development, told Insider that this is the first time such large-scale benchmarking tools have been made widely available on the HR-software market. Goldman Sachs The firm s CEO David Solomon has tasked Black female execs with leading the investment. The investment came after a virtual town hall in the wake of George Floyd s death. Days after the police-killing of George Floyd, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon called a company-wide virtual town hall meeting. He invited three Black executives at the firm to share their perspectives on the Black American experience. Asahi Pompey, global head of corporate engagement and president of the Goldman Sachs Foundation, was one of those executives. During the town hall, she shared a public letter to her 11-year-old son where she expressed her worries for his life and offered guidance for navigating the world while Black. Other executives shared their reaction to Floyd s death, and how the national outcry over racial injustice was impacting them. ....

Now, PayPal is partnering with Just Capital, calling on other CEOs to do the same. The effort is part of a broader conversation around stakeholder capitalism. It s one thing for a leader to say they care about employees. It s another thing for a leader to conduct a companywide audit to find out how employees are faring with money, and then take action when the results come back subpar. That s what PayPal CEO Dan Schulman did in 2018 after hearing that employees were struggling to make ends meet. The CEO audited and analyzed employees financial health at the payments giant. The results prompted PayPal to make changes in 2020 that included raising wages across the company, cutting healthcare costs by 60%, and making every employee a shareholder. ....
