After not having a film room for the College Football Playoff semifinals, ESPN will bring that back (on ESPNEWS) for the MegaCast of this year’s national championship game (set for Monday, and it sounds like it will happen then despite previous concerns). And they’ll use a number of current coaches this time, which they haven’t alwaysdone. But the coaches they’re using are interesting. Here are more details on that from ESPN’s MegaCast release:
Film Room returns to the National Championship MegaCast on ESPNEWS, with SEC Network college football analyst and former BCS Champion head coach Gene Chizik, Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson, Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze and North Carolina A&T’s Sam Washington joining the telecast. Follow every play of Alabama-Ohio State through the minds of those who live and breathe the game every day. Please note: the lineup of coaches is subject to
OWINGS MILLS, Md. From the blink-and-he’s-gone scrambles to the countless hugs, Lamar Jackson is playing as loose, confident and enthused as ever heading into a postseason that can go a long way in determining his national perception as a quarterback.
Jackson shook off the weight of expectations that come with being the reigning NFL MVP, as well as a nasty bout with COVID-19, to carry the Baltimore Ravens to five straight victories and back to the playoffs. He is smiling and embracing teammates again (he celebrated the comeback win in Cleveland by lifting up kicker Justin Tucker in a bear hug). He is running circles around defenses again. And, as Baltimore offensive coordinator Greg Roman recently put it, Jackson is the game’s best player again.

It s come down to this.
A month ago, the Ravens postseason hopes were in serious jeopardy after a three-game losing streak dropped them to 6-5. Their roster had been ravaged by the biggest COVID-19 outbreak in pro sports and injuries to key players.
The resilient Ravens (10-5) responded with four straight victories and have put themselves in position to clinch an AFC wild-card berth with a win over the Bengals (4-10-1) in Cincinnati on Sunday.
All 45 pundits we looked at believe the Ravens will do exactly that.
As 2021 begins, the 2020 Ravens and reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson are looking like the 2019 versions of themselves, when they were the most dominant team in the league. There s every reason to feel confident the Ravens will take care of business in Cincinnati. Baltimore, which is favored by 12 points, is 41-0 as a double-digit favorite in the regular season.
