Just hours after Caleb Michael Whisnand, 32, and the baby’s mother pleaded publicly for the baby’s safe return, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday night announced the arrest in the death of the 5-week-old.
Sheriff’s Capt. Leigh Persky said Whisnand is being held in Caleb “C.J.” Whisnand Jr.’s death on $100,000 bond in the Montgomery County Detention Center. The arrest came after a Wednesday afternoon press conference where the elder Whisnand and the boy’s mother, 28-year-old Angela Nicole Gardner, made a plea for their son’s safe return.
