Streets flooded, trees damaged after severe thunderstorm hits Wasatch Front
High speed winds, intense rain and some hail ripped through the Wasatch Front Thursday, damaging trees and flooding streets. Neighbors in Murray are already working to clean up the mess.

SALT LAKE CITY â Streets are flooded and trees damaged after a severe thunderstorm hit parts of Salt Lake and Utah Counties Thursday evening.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Salt Lake and Utah counties that was lifted at 7:45 p.m.
Homes in Mapleton were evacuated as concerns for a mudslide grew due to the vulnerability of the land left by the Ether Hollow Fire. Around six inches of rain was on the roads Thursday night and residents were still evacuated. Officials are monitoring the burn scar and drainage in the area. No injuries or damage has been reported.
