SUV crashes into Midnight Sun in Grand Haven Township Sentinel Staff GRAND HAVEN TWP. One driver suffered minor injuries after hitting a business in Grand Haven Township. The Ottawa County Sheriff s Office responded shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, to Midnight Sun, a tanning salon. Upon arrival, deputies determined a 2006 Dodge SUV driven by a 22-year-old Grand Haven man was turning right onto U.S.-31 from Lincoln Street when he stuck a northbound 2006 Dodge truck. The SUV continued at a high rate of speed, crossing the median and southbound U.S.-31 before striking the railroad tracks, becoming airborne and striking the corner of Midnight Sun. The 22-year-old man suffered minor injuries, but refused medical treatment. He was cited for several traffic violations.
