Grafton Street Helipad Bridge by Sheppard Robson leads from the car park roof to the hospital
Sheppard Robson has completed a 130m long cranked bridge that will allow critically ill and injured patients to be flown by helicopter directly to Manchester’s city centre hospitals. 
Suspended 18m above the ground, the “hospital corridor in the sky” runs from a new helipad on the roof of a multi-storey car park straight into Manchester Royal Infirmary. It will also serve neighbouring Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. 
Previously patients had to be airlifted to a nearby park, then transferred to hospital by a normal road ambulance, adding extra minutes and discomfort to situations where every second counts.  ....

Crave returns to Chichester Festival Theatre

Sarah Kane’s Crave was live streamed to thousands in 50 countries around the globe as the cast of four performed in Chichester Festival Theatre’s empty auditorium.
The CFT is now offering a new edit of the live stream, with remastered sound and incorporating new footage from filmmaker Ravi Deepres, on demand from May 19-29. Contains strong language; suitable for ages 16+. In a damaged world, four characters search for the light in a heart-rending, funny, kind and cruel meditation on the meaning of love.
The opening night performance will be followed by a live post-show talk with members of the company. ....
