RIPON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two Ripon elementary schools are celebrating and honoring their students during the pandemic.
It’s been one year since Murray Park and Quest Elementary closed. So teachers and staff decided to have Student Hero Day.
It’s to celebrate their resiliency and heroism during the pandemic.
The day ended with a drive-by parade with the police and fire department, as well as any family members.
“I think it’s pretty nice because we lasted a year throughout the pandemic and we followed all the socially-distanced rules and we followed all the mask rules and all the school rules,” fifth grader Traxtyn Pick said.
