The remarkable entrepreneurs announced as winners during the virtual 24th annual Harvard Business School New Venture Competition (NVC) on Tuesday, March 30 are no exception. The 22 student and alumni finalist teams pitched for a share of the $325,000 in cash as well as in-kind prizes. The top four teams within each of the three tracks Student Business, Student Social Enterprise, and Alumni made it through a multi-round judging process and vied for the runner-up and grand prize. Viewers also had the opportunity to select a crowd favorite within each of the three tracks, with a prize value of $5,000. FSU sophomores add voter registration strip to FSU ID card Ella Hechlik Two Florida State University sophomores have pushed to get a signature strip on new FSU ID cards so that they can be used as voter registration ID for students. Many students vote for the first time in college, and the process, especially this year, can be complicated and hard to understand. Some students drive home as they are registered in their hometowns, while others vote by mail or change their registration to Tallahassee and vote in-person. However, these options can be complicated and inaccessible to some. Alfredo Alvarez and Travis Waters are both political science majors and were involved in the FSU Student Senate. Waters has also worked with the Campus Election Engagement Project, where he saw the amount of college students who were not voting. ....
