It's a Memorial Day Weekend unlike the one we all had in 2020. As pandemic restrictions loosen up, this is the first time many are out celebrating a holiday.

Georgia Tech Hosts Virginia Series for Regular Season Finale

TV Saturday’s 2 p.m. matchup will be broadcast live on ACC Network. The remainder of the weekend series will be streamed on ACC Network Extra. THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball (15-25) took care of Kennesaw State (22-20) in a low scoring affair with a 3-2 win on Sunday at Mewborn Field. The Jackets made the most of their opportunities at the dish, highlighted by a solo bomb off the bat of sophomore catcher Emma Kauf, while the hurlers for the White and Gold kept the Owls in check. Kennesaw State knocked a leadoff homerun in the top of the first to get started, but Tech responded with a pair of runs in the bottom half to take the lead. KENNESAW, Ga. – Georgia Tech softball (14-25) was unable to make up for a sluggish start against Kennesaw State (22-19), falling 5-2 on Friday at Bailey Park. The Yellow Jackets rallied in the top of the seventh to fill the base path, but failed to capitalize on the opportunity despite the go-ahead run stepping to the plate twice. Kennesaw State adversely got off to a quick start, knocking a leadoff homerun in the bottom of the first. The Owls added three more runs in the third by way of an RBI double and a following single that scored two to take a 4-0 lead.
