Teams were chomping at the bit to get back on the field after a long hiatus. As can be expected, there are always nervous jitters in the first game of the season, and this was the case in many games. Additionally, weather all across the East Coast was particularly wet and cold even in the Southern states. At least five ranked teams let their opponents get on the scoreboard first before pulling ahead, and other teams in the Top 20 ranks let it get too close for comfort at times. Through it all we saw a glimpse of what to expect the next few months. UNC and Notre Dame are loaded on both ends. Once again, Northwestern is an offensive machine. Stony Brook is hungry and willing to play anywhere against the best. Florida, USC, Duke, Penn State and Virginia Tech are beatable but fille ....

With Jenner on the circle, the Blue Devils are accustomed to getting the ball early and often and the talent Duke possesses offensively was putting on a show early in 2020. Insert Gabby Rosenzweig, the Ivy’s top dual-threat attacker to the mix, and an even stronger showing out of Duke seems almost inevitable in 2021. ATTACK: All-American Gabby Rosenzweig arrived in Durham this fall, enrolling in the Fuqua School of Business to pursue her masters after a decorated career at Penn came to a close. The All-Ivy attacker is Penn’s career leader in points (247), and single-season leader in points (98 in 2019) and assists (63 in 2019).
