Submitted Photo (May 2021) Second Harvest Food Network will host a Pop-Up Pantry offering free food for anyone in need from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, or until food is gone at Immaculate Heart Church in Crosslake. Written By: PineandLakes Echo Journal | 1:00 am, Apr. 14, 2021 × Pop-up pantry Immaculate Heart Church in Crosslake will be the site of a Second Harvest pop-up food pantry for anyone in need from 3:30-4:30 p.m. or until food is gone Wednesday, April 14. Participants must remain in their vehicles. Skating show The Breezy Point Figure Skating Club will host its annual show, Skate, Hope, Love, at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 16, and 2 p.m., Saturday, April 17, at the Breezy Point Ice Arena. Cost is $5 per person, with children 5 and under free. Due to capacity limits, the club is pre-selling tickets online through https://forms.gle/xw5PDEwVyZ37Qrw48. Streaming will be available for $5 per household. Information will be emailed to those who sign up for that option. ....

The public is asked to buy children s diapers and/or disposable wipes and drop them off at any one of the various locations throughout the area, including Reed s Market in Crosslake, Old Milwaukee Club in Ideal Corners, Pelican Square in Breezy Point, Crosslake City Hall, Little People Learning Center in Breezy Point, Immaculate Heart Church in Crosslake, and the Crosslake Community Center. Items will be accepted from Thursday, April 15-Friday, April 30. All donations will benefit the Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center in Brainerd and the Tri-County Community Action Partnership. ....
Carolyn “Kay” Wilske Carolyn Mae “Kay” Wilske, our Wife, Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma, got her Angel Wings on March 20, 2021 after a courageous and long struggle with COPD, heart/kidney failure and finally, dementia. She was born to John and Evelyn Carlson on October 30, 1932. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM on Monday, April 19 at Immaculate Heart Church in Crosslake. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass. Lunch at Ideal Town Hall afterwards. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. A Celebration of Kay’s life will be held at a later date, so all her friends can gather and share the JOY of knowing her. SHE LOVED YOU ALL! ....
