Arrests in Huntington Beach after 'Adrian's kickback' TikTok party - The San Diego Union-Tribune

Nearly 150 people were arrested in Huntington Beach on Saturday night after a man’s TikTok video inviting people to his birthday party went viral and the city was overrun with unruly revelers, prompting authorities to issue an emergency overnight curfew, police said.
The event, dubbed Adrian’s kickback, drew at least 2,500 people, the Huntington Beach Police Department said in a statement.
Business owners, store clerks and residents of Huntington Beach described a raucous scene with what seemed like thousands of revelers most of them in their teens or early 20s crossing from the beach onto Pacific Coast Highway and clashing with police in the city’s downtown business district, some of them tagging storefronts, lighting fireworks and throwing bottles and other debris. ....

Olmsted County Announces Over $3 Million In Grants


In January, the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners announced it allocated a total of $3,388,968 in economic relief funds to small businesses and non-profits affected by COVID-19 as part of the State of Minnesota County Relief Funding Program.
According to a press release from Olmsted County, a total of 169 small businesses met the eligibility criteria and were chosen as grant recipients, and 34 non-profit organizations met the eligibility criteria and were chosen as grant recipients.
A total of $2,711,174 was allocated to the grant program for small businesses and food/beverage-serving 501(c)(8) and 501(c)(19) non-profits, administered by Rochester Area Economic Development, Inc, and $677,794 was allocated to the grant program for 501(c)(3) non-profits administered by the Rochester Area Foundation (RAF). ....
