New Yorker Kristina Libby began placing heart-shaped flower wreaths in prominent sites across the city last April, when the first wave of the pandemic was at its terrifying height.
“I laid a heart because I was grieving and I wanted to do something to recognize our losses,” the artist said in a statement. “Community matters now more than ever, and one way we can grow community is by grieving together.”

Digital version of popular COVID-19 memorial launched
In fall 2020, thousands visited the COVID-19 public art installation IN AMERICA How Could This Happen., which took place just two miles east of the U.S. Capitol. People traveled from across the country to see personalized flags for those who had died. Today, the artist, Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg, with help from the George Washington University and University of Maryland, has launched a digital version in an effort to continue honoring those who have died.
While the physical exhibition has ended, the deaths from Covid-19 continue. We hope this digitized version of the art will provide national acknowledgement and comfort for everyone who has lost loved ones. ....

Routt Receives Over $100,000 from 2020 Dreams

Routt Catholic High School Principal, Nick Roscetti, received a $110,000 donation from the 2020 Dreams Chair and Co-Chair, Maggie Peterson and Joe Horabik.
The 2020 Dreams Campaign raised over $100,000 for Routt last fall.
Routt Catholic High School Principal Nick Roscetti received a donation check in the amount of $110,000 yesterday from campaign chair Maggie Peterson and Co-Chair Joe Horabik.
The money is a result of the 2020 Dreams Campaign that culminated with the $100,000 drawing which took place on September 6, 2020.
Peterson says the contributions made to both Routt Catholic High School and Our Saviour School would not be possible without the numerous students, parents, alumni, parishioners, and friends who helped make the 2020 Campaign a success. ....
