NORRISTOWNÂ â Local leaders authorized a series of contracts totaling approximately $1.8 million during the April 1 Montgomery County Board of Commissioners meeting.
The dozen contract awards, amendments and renewals spanned several departments including assets and infrastructure, public safety and information and technology solutions.
A big ticket item presented during the April 1 meeting was renewing an existing roads and bridges consulting agreement with McCormick Taylor, of Exton. The six-figure contract, not to exceed $720,000, covered advisory services, allotted for a one-year term with âone remaining optional annual renewal.â

A $316,446, three-year contract with Pinnacle Integrated Systems, Inc., of Malvern, covered âvoice and data cabling services.â
The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter in Clarksville is down until further notice.
That transmitter site broadcasts forecasts from the National Weather Service in Nashville, but also sends out warnings for Christian and Todd County as some residents along the state line can receive that frequency most clearly.
Hopkinsville’s transmitter, on a frequency of 162.450, is still working properly.
