The Australian National Imams Council has won a lawsuit against M. R. for defamation.
Moustafa Rashed falsely claimed that he is Australia s only elected Mufti. He is also Chairman of the International Federation of Muslims for Peace. This organisation falsely claimed it is the only registered organisation in Australia for Muslim Imams.
On Thursday, June 10, 2021, ANIC were able to obtain judgement against Moustafa Rashed. This judgement included defamatory remarks made by him claiming ANIC was a terrorist sympathiser.
Sheikh Shadi Alsuleiman, President of ANIC, commented: “The Australian National Imams Council won the case against Mustafa Rashed. We hope this judgement clarifies this man’s lack of credibility and accordingly his claim as the Mufti of Australia.
