Sadie Gibbs Explains Her Decision To Retire From Wrestling, Talks Battling Health Issues

In a recent interview on 5 Star Wrestling Revolution, Sadie Gibbs, who announced her retirement from wrestling in late April, explained her decision to walk away and the reasoning behind it. Here’s what she had to say (via Fightful):
Sadie Gibbs on her decision to retire from wrestling: “With the uncertainty of the world, I just decided to put all my eggs into [the fitness] basket. Since making that choice, as hard as it was, I’ve just been waiting around and staring at a door that’s been closed. I’m not about that. That’s the reason for the announced retirement, just to close that door fully and get on with my life and the way it’s going at the moment. NJPW Reportedly Had Talks With Pluto TV For Streaming Deal


We reported earlier today that NJPW content will be arriving on the Roku Channel starting February 11. However, it seems they have been talking with another free streaming service as well. Wrestling Inc reports that New Japan has had discussions with Pluto TV about joining their service.
Pluto TV is available on Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Roku and more, while the Roku Channel is just on Roku. So if they did land that service, their reach would expand. Pluto TV recently launched a wrestling channel that featured Beyond Wrestling, Women’s Wrestling Revolution and DEFY Wrestling. NJPW is significantly larger than those, so it would also be a big get for Pluto. Pluto TV’s current deals with the independent promotions have been for a revenue split with no rights fees, similar to those from Youtube. ....
