Walk-in Covid vaccinations offered to over 18s in Burnham this weekend
Residents aged over 18 in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge will be able to walk in and get their Covid vaccination at local sites without needing to book a time in advance this weekend.
All eligible adults who have not yet had a first dose, and have not yet booked a slot through the National Booking Service, can head to the local vaccination site.
Today (Saturday June 26th), Day Lewis Pharmacy is running a drop-in at Burnham-On-Sea’s BASC Ground from 5.00pm – 7.00pm for first doses of Pfizer and second doses of the AstraZeneca jab. Jabs will also be available at Cheddar’s Winchester Farm drop-in from 9am-3pm today for first doses of the Pfizer jab.

COVID-19 vaccinations are scheduled to stop at The Mulberry Centre, in Berrow, at the end of this month, at which point the service will move to Cheddar. The Berrow site has provided many vaccinations for residents in the Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge area since it opened in December 2020. Vaccines have also been offered at the BASC (Burnham Association of Sports Clubs) Ground, in Stoddens Road in Burnham, and that service - overseen by local Day Lewis Pharmacies - is set to continue. The NHS Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) confirmed that The Mulberry Centre will offer vaccinations in phase two of the programme, in order to enable teams to focus more on day-to-day healthcare services.
