The team at Burnham-On-Sea's BASC Ground are appealing to local community groups and residents to use its facilities more often after a downturn in bookings following the pandemic.
COVID-19 vaccinations are scheduled to stop at The Mulberry Centre, in Berrow, at the end of this month, at which point the service will move to Cheddar. The Berrow site has provided many vaccinations for residents in the Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge area since it opened in December 2020. Vaccines have also been offered at the BASC (Burnham Association of Sports Clubs) Ground, in Stoddens Road in Burnham, and that service - overseen by local Day Lewis Pharmacies - is set to continue. The NHS Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) confirmed that The Mulberry Centre will offer vaccinations in phase two of the programme, in order to enable teams to focus more on day-to-day healthcare services.
