(December 14, 1948 â February 25, 2021) JOHNSON CITY - Chester William Campbell, Jr., 72, of Johnson City, TN departed his earthly home on February 25, 2021 surrounded by his children. A native of Johnson City, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, five beloved children, Timothy Campbell, Melissa Campbell, Amy Campbell, Joseph Campbell, and Rebecca Montoya, seven adored grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Chester W. Campbell and Kate Owens Campbell, four sisters, one brother, and the mother of his children, Shirley Jane Laws Campbell. Chester proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a retired Sergeant of the Johnson City Fire Department with 25 years of service. He was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. ....
Jonesborough - Anna âAnnâ Rice, 69, of Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at her residence. Ann had lived in in Jonesborough since 1990. She was the daughter of Lilla Walsh and the late Walter Lee Sullivan. Ann enjoyed reading romance novels and shopping. She had a soft spot for dogs. Ann was a dogâs best friend. Ann enjoyed being with her friends at the Wellness Center three days a week. In addition to her father, Ann was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Rice; brother, John Walsh; step father, Bernard Elmer Walsh. Survivors include her loving husband of forty-nine years, Jim Rice. ....

Jarvis Dwight (JD) Anderson, a native of Carter County, Tennessee was the son of the late Grant and Lula Jane Forrester Anderson, of Old Butler, Johnson County, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ora Anderson Morrell, Marie Anderson Queen, Alphas Henry Anderson, Lois Anderson, Lucy Anderson Smith, and Jeanne Anderson Potter and two infant grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of over sixty years, Sue Anderson of the home; his daughter, Deborah Anderson Silvers (Fon) of Lakeland, FL; two grandchildren, Emelie Silvers Dunham (Adrian) of Knoxville, TN and Cara Silvers of Panama City Beach, FL. He was a member of Siam Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, Sunday School Director, and the originator of the Shut-In Ministry. He also began the Siam Meals on Wheels Ministry and continued it as long as his health permitted. This church was always precious to his heart, and he carried itâs spirit with him wherever in the world he found himself. One of his favor ....
