Bishop of St Asaph with the bespokeedition of John’s Gospel EVERY child in a Church in Wales School in North East and Mid Wales is to receive a gift from the Bishop of St Asaph to celebrate the work of the Welsh Bible Translators, more than 400 years ago. It is part of plans by the Diocese of St Asaph to mark the 400th anniversary of Edmund Prys’ 1621 translation of the Psalms into Welsh suitable for congregational singing. Prys and seven out of the eight Bible Translators were born in the Diocese of St Asaph and are commemorated by a memorial outside St Asaph Cathedral. ....
Churches across Wrexham to distribute gardening tools and seeds to local communities Gardening tools and seeds are being distributed by churches across Wrexham to enable people to grow their own fruit and vegetables. GroWrexham will see hundreds of sets of equipment and seeds handed out to people in the town and areas around Plas Madoc and Ruabon by local churches – along with expert help and advice to support people as they nurture their crops. The sets include compost, grow bags, pots, a trowel and fork, a watering can and packets of seeds. Later tomato plants and strawberries will be available for those taking part. ....
