Tennessee Motor Vehicle Commission revokes dealer s license for Tipton County auto dealership
The commission said it received complaints related to false, fraudulent and deceptive acts by McDivitt Motors, LLC in Covington.

COVINGTON, Tenn. The Tennessee Motor Vehicle Commission announces the recent revocation of the motor vehicle dealer’s license formerly belonging to
McDivitt Motors LLC, a Tipton County-based auto dealership owned by Marty McDivitt.
The voluntary revocation by McDivitt came at the conclusion of two years’ of work involving multiple state and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies focused on numerous consumer complaints related to false, fraudulent and deceptive acts committed by McDivitt while operating McDivitt Motors, LLC in Covington.
A.J. Lawrence honors the memory of his grandfather by jumping rope

Cambridge Intermediate School fifth grader A.J. Lawrence jumps rope with his entire body. He jumps high and bends his knees so his feet nearly touch his backside and swings his arms in circles to move the rope around his body. He gives it his all – a complete effort.
It is the same approach Lawrence used when participating in the American Heart Association’s annual Jump Rope for the Heart event. He raised more than $5,000 in donations during his elementary school years including $1,300 when he was in kindergarten. And he did it all to honor his grandfather.

Neighbors on Maplewood Drive say the three dogs that live at the house have attacked their owner before â but never like this. She was crying out the whole time, Please help me, stop, please help! said Fred Davison. I grabbed my firearm and I tried to get into the house a couple different ways and couldn t, so I shot out the front door and unlocked it and was able to get in.
That s when Davison says he had no choice but to shoot one of the dogs in order to get close to the other dog that was violently attacking the woman, who was bleeding very badly.
