LOUISVILLE, Ky. Three months after a judge dismissed a vacate order, the owners of Dino’s Food Mart in the Russell neighborhood are suing members of Louisville Metro Council, accusing them of defamation and slander after they tried to get the store shut down.
The lawsuit, filed July 23, names Metro Council President David James, District 5 Councilwoman Donna Purvis and her legislative assistant Denise Bentley as defendants. ....

FRANKFORT, Ky.  Eight months after its promised creation, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron s Search Warrant Task Force convened for its first meeting Monday, laying the groundwork for the next seven months of work.
Cameron said the group will focus on the processes of securing, reviewing and serving warrants and aims to make recommendations for changes by the end of the year. ....
