The overall increase, averaging nearly 50% in the wake of high-priced imports and supply disruptions from China, have raised doubts on the availability of drugs and could lead to shortages, particularly of those that are key in Covid therapy.

No Interim Protection From Arrest To Kalra Till May 18 in Oxygen Black Marketing Case
During a recent raid, 524 oxygen concentrators were recovered from three restaurants owned by Kalra â Khan Chacha, Nega Ju and Town Hall â and he is suspected to have left Delhi along with his family. The concentrators are crucial medical equipment used for COVID-19 patients.

New Delhi:Â The Delhi High Court Friday declined to grant interim protection from arrest to Navneet Kalra, seeking anticipatory bail in connection with alleged black marketing of oxygen concentrators, agreeing with the reasons given by the trial court while denying him the relief.

New Delhi, May 14 : The Delhi High Court on Friday refused to grant interim protection from arrest to Navneet Kalra in connection with alleged black marketing of oxygen concentrators. Kalra has approached the High Court seeking anticipatory bail after a sessions court on Thursday dismissed Kalra s anticipatory bail plea. A single bench of Justice Subramonium Prasad said: I am persuaded by the reasons given by the trial court which is a valid ground for me not to grant any interim protection now. The court has listed the matter for further hearing on May 18. The sessions court had noted that allegations against Kalra are serious and his custodial interrogation was needed to unearth the entire conspiracy.
