Cape Town - In holding the DA âaccountable for uncertainty and public scrutinyâ surrounding the qualification scandal of the Saldanha Bay mayor Marius Koen, Good Party members are expected to protest at the municipal offices today.
The protest, dubbed the
Waars jou pampiere (where are your papers?) toyi toyi, comes as part of a continued probe into the legitimacy of Koenâs MBA qualification he is said to have achieved at Hull University in 1999.
Good Party member, Sammy Claassen, said the confidence in the mayor is âat an all time low due to the fact that the mayor officially claimed these qualifications but failed to produce or present these qualifications in council or in publicâ.

Cape Town â Aspirant candidates who wish to represent the DA will now be required to submit copies of their qualifications. This was revealed by the DAâs federal council chairperson Helen Zille.
The DA has been faced with qualification scandals over the last few weeks. First, Bonginkosi Madikizela admitted to not completing his degree even though his biography suggested otherwise. Saldanha Mayor Marius Koen who is said to have lied about his qualification. Most recently, it was revealed by the Weekend Argus that Mayco member Xanthea Limberg misrepresented her qualifications not only to the DA but to institutions that worked with her as a representative of the municipality.

Cape Town - The DAâs federal legal commission will investigate reports that Mayco member Xanthea Limberg claimed to have had a degree on her CV, while she currently does not hold one.
On Wednesday, the Weekend Argus exclusively revealed that Limberg submitted a summarised CV that stated she has a degree in politics and public policy administration from UCT and a BA degree in policy studies from Unisa. The CV was submitted to the partyâs provincial executive committee in January for her nomination as an executive member.
