MARMET seizes more than 260 grams of methamphetamine in another major drug bust

For the second time in a little more than a week, MARMET has made a large drug bust in Marion.
After a traffic stop and executing a search warrant on a Marion apartment, the MARMET Drug Task Force seized a total of 261.3 grams of methamphetamines in addition to two loaded hand guns and $3,536 on Tuesday of last week, according to a release.
Officers arrested Shannon Shannin, 31, of Marion and Michael Marshall, 32, of Columbus during the traffic stop and raid. Currently, Shannin is being held at Multi County Jail on a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine, weapons under disability and carrying a concealed weapon, according to the release. ....

Major Fentanyl Trafficker Arrested in Marion!

On February 18, 2021, around 7am, the METRICH/MARMET Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 3000 block of Marion Waldo Road in Marion County.
During the execution of the search warrant, MARMET detectives located 391 grams of fentanyl and 51 grams of cocaine.
Arrested was Jorge Moctezuma Jr, age 23 of Marion, Ohio. Moctezuma was taken to the Multi County Jail for Trafficking in Fentanyl and Trafficking in Cocaine. Formal charges will be filed by Marion County Prosecutor Ray Grogan.
The fentanyl found during the execution of this search warrant could kill an estimated 195,000 people and this seizure will undoubtedly save lives of Marion residents. The Marion County Sheriff s Office, the Marion Police Department and the Marion County Prosecutor s Office will continue to work together to make sure Marion County is as safe as possible and that includes aggressively seeking out high le ....
