This is so cool and a great idea for Toms River families. FREE seedlings will be handed out to Toms River residents from NJ State Forest Service s Tree Recovery Campaign. The seedling giveaway will take place Saturday, April 24th, 2021, according to patch.com. There will be two locations in Toms River for the seedling handouts. Handouts will be April 24th at the Third Avenue parking lot in Ortley and Riverwood Park off of Whitesville Road. Tree seedlings are first come, first served from 10 am to 2 pm. There was a goal made in 2019 to distribute 600,000 tree seedlings to New Jersey residents. The goal was for in 7 years since 2019 hand out tree seedlings but because of Superstorm Sandy, so many of our beautiful trees in Ocean County and beyond were destroyed. It s time to grow some more beautiful trees here in New Jersey. ....

Daring cat rescue on GR s west side garners attention on social media and last updated 2021-03-17 10:11:35-04 GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â A daring cat rescue nearly 50 feet off the ground was caught on camera over the weekend. The video is getting a lot of attention on social media, not only because of the good deed but the skill required to bring that cat back to safety. The video was originally posted in the We Are Westsiders Facebook group on Saturday March, 13. A couple walking their dog spotted a cat way up in the trees at Richmond Park. They immediately called Robin Walenga, a domestic and wild animal advocate who helps with animal rescues. ....
