PHOENIX â One person has died after being struck by a vehicle in north Phoenix Saturday.
Police say they responded to a collision near Greenway and Cave Creek roads involving a pedestrian at around 8:20 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene following the collision.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased by fire personnel on the scene.

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car in Mission Valley Wednesday afternoon.
The collision happened at around 2:17 p.m. in the 2200 block of Camino De La Reina, according to San Diego police.
ABC 10News learned a car was traveling westbound when it hit a person crossing the roadway.
The 26-year-old female driver remained at the scene for police questioning while the pedestrian was taken to the hospital. Police say the victim suffered a broken left femur and major head trauma. The driver did not have any injuries.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) A 38-year-old man was hit and killed by a car in Kings County on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officials say a man wearing dark clothing was walking in the roadway on 18th Avenue between Idaho and Jackson, south of Lemoore, around 9:30 pm when he was hit.
The man was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.
Officers said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation.

SAN MARCOS (KGTV) A 22-year-old man who had just gotten into a single car crash on State Route 78 was killed Thursday when he walked into the path of another vehicle on the freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the San Marcos man lost control of his 2007 Ford Focus while heading east near Palomar College shortly after 6 a.m.
The car crashed into a metal guardrail before veering off the road and plunging down an embankment, CHP public-affairs Officer Juan Escobar said.
