KARACHI: Media persons had an extensive discussion on issues they face in reporting on human rights at a media consultation organized by European Union (EU) funded Huqooq-e-Pakistan Project (HeP) in collaboration with the Sindh Human Rights Department.
Huqooq e Pakistan is a joint initiative of the European Union and the Ministry of Human Rights with the objective of supporting the continued efforts of the Government of Pakistan for the promotion of human rights.
The consultation event organized at Karachi Press Club on Tuesday and attracted good representation from regional, Urdu and English newspapers, channels and social media including a large number of women journalists. ....

Islamabad: The Human Right Resource Portal will cover comprehensive training resources that will provide online material which will be beneficial for human rights practitioners and personnel.
Talking to APP the Secretary Ministry of Human rights informed that training resources would cover a range of topics such as Pakistan’s International Human Rights Obligations and Human Rights Data Collection and Documentation for the benefit of rights practitioner as well as researchers.
He further said that these custom training resources aims at enhancing capacity of the judiciary, prosecution, and law enforcement agencies. ....

The Human Rights Resource Portal will provide comprehensive training resources and online material which will be beneficial for human rights practitioners and personnel, said Ministry of Human Rights Secretary Inamullah Khan on Friday.

The Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR) launched its annual performance report 2020 at an interactive media engagement session held on Monday.
The report highlighted significant initiatives taken to protect and promote the rights of women, children, people with disabilities, transgender women, and other vulnerable population groups.
The report also included chapters on the ministry s progress in projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP); special initiatives launched to mitigate the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic as well as the engagements of the Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari. ....
