Gurgaon: Students of Class XII expressed apprehension over the CBSE’s 30:30:40 formula to evaluate them. Many of them dubbed “unfair” the board’s decision to give 60% weightage to the marks obtained in classes X and XI. “It’s not fair. It appears we are being primarily evaluated for classes X and XI instead of Class XII. Even if the board wanted to include the performance of the previous years, it should have been the other way round 60% weightage to Class XII performance and 20% each to classes 10 and 11,” said Arunima Singh, who studies science at Salwan Public School. Some students questioned the rationale behind taking into account the performance of previous years at all. Puppets encourage one s imagination, creativity and emotional development and help learning in a fun way. The teachers enacted a story using hand puppets. Through the story, tiny tots were taught five magic words thank you, welcome, please, sorry and excuse me. They were motivated to use these words in their daily communication as it shows a sense of responsibility. All the children enjoyed the show.
