The funds were converted into USDT (a cryptocurrency) and transferred to accounts in China. The accused were tracked down using confidential sources and technical assistance, leading to the recovery of 24 mobile phones, 556 SIM cards, 67 cheque books, and 62 ATM cards, alongside Rs 15.2 lakh in cash.
