(WKBW) â Buffalo Public Schools provide around 28,000 school lunches every day. But meals like hot dogs, hamburgers, and sometimes even chicken, are not suitable for all Muslim students. So, Atiqur Rahman sent a letter to Common Council members Mitch Nowakowski and Bryan Bollman encouraging them to bring halal foods into buffalo public schools âThe letter was addressed to council member Bollman and myself because we have a large Muslim population in our districts, Nowakowski said. Dec 16, 2020 HANCOCK In a Tuesday afternoon email, Superintendent Steve Patchin said there were three items in the Food Service Department of which parents and students should be aware: ⢠Children who are participating at school in The Free Breakfast and Lunch Meals are now being offered meal pick-up for Saturdays and Sundays. ⢠Children who are participating in virtual learning, homeschooling, or too young to go to school, are offered The Free Breakfast and Lunch Meals seven days a week. ⢠The school is offering meal pickup for all children 18 and under during the Winter Break on Monday, Dec. 22 and 29.
