A 43-year-old Temple man is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl and supplying her with cocaine, according to arrest affidavits.
Jeremy Jason Carroll was in the Bell County Jail Thursday, charged with sexual assault of a child under age 17 and delivery of a controlled substance to a minor, both second-degree felonies. His bonds totaled $175,000 for the two charges.
The arrest came after a 15-year-old girl was reported missing at about 3:20 p.m. March 13, Temple Police Department spokeswoman Alejandra Arreguin said.
The mother told police that she suspected that her daughter was at a nearby apartment in the 3300 block of Thornton Lane since the evening of March 12, an arrest affidavit said.
A stop at a Killeen gas station ultimately led to a brief police chase and the arrest of a man now charged with money laundering, and possession of marijuana.
Deonte Hicks, 23, of Killeen was booked into the Bell County Jail Thursday morning on charges of money laundering under $30,000 and possession of marijuana under five pounds â both state jail felonies.
According to an arrest affidavit, on April 26 a Killeen police officer noticed a maroon vehicle parked at a gas pump with the gas tank facing away from the pump. The officer observed a man leave the maroon car and enter the back seat of a black Dodge Journey parked at another pump before returning to his vehicle, police said.
A Temple man was indicted on a sexual assault of a child charge by a Bell County grand jury Wednesday after he impregnated a 15-year-old girl.
Orlando Mike Martinez â also charged last year with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child â remained in the Bell County Jail Thursday with bonds set at $400,000, jail records showed.
The 34-year-old is accused of impregnating the teenager while living with the girlâs family, according to arrest affidavits.
The girl reported to Temple Police Department that she was a sexual abuse victim for several years, beginning in elementary school, and named Martinez as her attacker and the father of the child. The girl said the abuse started again when Martinez moved in.
A Killeen man allegedly strangled a woman after he âbecame upsetâ over a text message she received, according to an arrest affidavit.
Deroeshea Delts, 28, of Killeen, was booked into the Bell County Jail Thursday on a charge of assault of a family/household member by impeding breath/circulation, a third-degree felony.
According to an arrest affidavit, Killeen police were dispatched at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday to the 4200 block of Deek Drive in Killeen in reference to a âviolent domesticâ in which the 911 caller stated a man assaulted and strangled her.
When police arrived to the scene, according to the affidavit, Delts was standing in the driveway yelling at the woman.
