Owned by The Garcha Group, the 49-room hotel opened in 2018 as the first Six Senses hotel in Singapore. Six Senses ceased management of the hotel on 31 May 2020, and now Marriott has officially added the property - rebranded as the Duxton Reserve Singapore - to the Autograph Collection. Duxton Reserve Singapore was created within eight sustainably restored 19th-century shophouses. The hotel was designed by the renowned British interior designer, Anouska Hempel, and the designer s romantic narrative borrows elements from Chinese, Malay and European cultures. ....

Oriental design inspiration Duxton Reserve embodies Anouska Hempel’s signature style with imagination and Oriental spirit. Guests can expect striking hues of black, yellow and gold paired with Oriental screens and calligraphy wallpaper. Each of the guest rooms, with local and historically inspired names ranging from Opium to Pearl, is designed to suit a different mood and aesthetic preference. The jet-black Opium Suites pair black walls with four-poster Chinese platform beds, while the Pearl Suites feature white walls and dressers inlaid with mother-of-pearl. ....
