BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â It s a big step forward for Elmwood Crossing. The $100 million project designed to bring new life to the campus of the former Women and Children s hospital is wrapping up one of the initial stages.
Construction on the new five-story Pardee building at the corner of Elmwood and Bryant is almost complete and is expected to welcome tenants and residents this summer.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced that six additional Empire State companies have received nearly $2.3 million in funding from New York State to produce needed supplies to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic. These grant funds will help alleviate product shortages due to supply chain issues that could lead to unfair pricing practices and delays. These companies will also increase the State s manufacturing capacity while creating new jobs and market opportunities. To date, New York State has awarded nearly $22 million in grants to 39 qualifying New York-based companies to retool their business lines and pivot to manufacturing vital supplies for ongoing response and recovery efforts. ....

BUFFALO, N.Y. Buffalo s public art collection continues to grow.
The Queen City unveiled several new pieces Tuesday morning at the Jefferson Avenue apartments, located at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Southampton Street. Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown says the newest pieces of public art represent the history and future of the Jefferson Avenue community.
Brown joined People Inc. President Rhonda Frederick to unveil the artwork and recognize the artists who contributed to the project. ....
