Most Nashville council members call for firing of health chief Dr. Michael Caldwell after discrimination allegations

More than half of the Metro Council is calling on the Nashville board of health to dismiss the city s health chief following an investigation into claims of sexist and discriminatory behavior. 
Twenty-one council members signed on to a letter Thursday to ask the Metro Board of Health to remove Dr. Michael Caldwell from his position, claiming the recent city investigation is further proof he is not fit to lead.
