Since the beginning of their respective film careers in the mid-70s, Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu have been the thickest of friends. During every trip to Chennai, the Tamil superstar has this habit of visiting the Telugu actor and vice versa. The legendary duo has also worked together in “Pedarayudu”, the Telugu remake of “Nattamai”. In the second week of April, Rajinikanth joined the sets of Siruthai Siva s Annaatthe in Hyderabad and wrapped up his portions by camping in the city for more than a month. While 60% of the shoot was completed last year before the lockdown, the penultimate schedule came to a grinding halt in December 2020 when four crew tested positive for COVID-19. Though the 70-year-old superstar tested negative, the stress had caused fluctuations in his blood pressure level, requiring hospitalization.

Temperatures are rising in the city and vacays are all anyone can think about. Looks like Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu are in the same boat as they escaped the heat for a sojourn in the lush hills of Sikkim. Sharing a picture of the duo in cream and grey cardigans with shawls draped over their shoulders, Lakshmi Manchu wished she was tagging along too. “When two maestros go for a quick trip to Sikkim, you know it’s going to be (fire emoji). Only @chiranjeevikonidela uncle you could have convinced Nana for a quick weekend trip to Sikkim! I’m so jealous! So good to see you both having a nice time. Heart is full! Let us kids accompany you someday,” (sic) she wrote, sharing the picture.
