Rites declares 2nd interim dividend of Rs 4 per share

The record date for the dividend is set on 20 March 2021.The board of Rites, an infrastructure consultancy and engineering company, has declared a second interim dividend of Rs 4 per share on the share with face value of Rs 10 each. The record date for the purpose of payment of dividend is 20 March 2021.
The second interim dividend brings the company s total dividend for FY21 so far, to Rs 9 per share, amounting to Rs 216.27 crore.
Further, the company informed that its standalone revenue for the nine months of FY21 has been Rs 1,315 crore and profit after tax has been Rs 290 crore.
Meanwhile, the company said it has commenced the export shipments to Sri Lanka and Mozambique. The 10 railway passenger coaches has been successfully delivered to Sri Lanka and first shipment of two 3,000 HP Cape Gauge AC-AC locomotives has been flagged off to Mozambique, it added in a statement issued after market hours yesterday, 12 March 2021. ....

Compensation granted under land acquisition law can be deducted statutorily only: SC | India News

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday said the compensation given to farmers under land acquisition law can be deducted statutorily only and the state or its instrumentalities cannot do so on other pretext.
The observations came from the bench comprising Chief Justice S A Bobde and justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian while dismissing the appeal of PSU Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Ltd (THDCL) against the 2018 order of the Uttarakhand High Court.
Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati, appearing for the PSU firm, said that the company had paid the compensation for the land acquired and wanted to take development charge from the recipients of developed land. ....

NLC India raises Rs 300 cr through commercial paper

NLC India on Friday announced that it has raised Rs 300 crore through issue of commercial paper.In an exchange filing, the company said that it issued 6,000 commercial paper of face value of Rs 5 lakh each on 26 February 2021, aggregating to Rs 300 crore.
Shares of NLC India declined 0.28% to Rs 52.85 on Friday.
NLC India is a Navratna government of India company in the fossil fuel mining sector in India and thermal power generation. As of 31 December 2020, the Government of India holds 79.2% stake in the company.
The PSU company s consolidated net profit fell 54.2% to Rs 183.10 crore on 19.2% decline in net sales at Rs 2214.86 crore in Q3 FY21 over Q3 FY20. ....

Cochin Shipyard spurts on emerging L1 bidder for Indian Navy contract

Cochin Shipyard jumped 8.6% to Rs 383.55 after the PSU company announced that it has been declared as lowest (L1) bidder in the tender floated by the Indian Navy.The scope of order involves construction of six Next Generation Missile Vessels (NGMV) and the estimated total order value is around Rs 10,000 crore.
Cochin Shipyard added that the final announcement of the contract will be subject to the satisfactory completion of necessary formalities in this regard, which will be updated in due course.
Cochin Shipyard is the largest shipbuilding and maintenance facility in India. It is part of a line of maritime-related facilities in the port-city of Kochi, Kerala. As of 31 December 2020, the Government of India held 72.86% stake in the company. ....
